Resources on Community Colleges
This wiki is an ongoing project initiated by the MLA Committee on Community Colleges. Renewed in 2010 for a third five-year term, the committee is charged with considering a range of issues affecting teachers of modern languages and literatures who teach in two-year colleges, including conditions of employment, staffing, curriculum, articulation with secondary schools and four-year institutions, and the preparation and recruitment of faculty members.
For committee membership and a brief overview, please see http://www.mla.org/ccc
Use the discussion tab above to make suggestions about how the Committee on Community Colleges could best serve the needs of faculty members teaching in two-year colleges. (You must be logged in to edit this page or to add to the discussion forum.)

2010-11 MLA President Sidonie Smith's Winter 2010 newsletter column "One MLA Serving All Faculty Members" [1] is an explanation about why the MLA should embrace community college members and "build membership" from their ranks.
